The Insurance Scam Explained

Insurance companies are not the free market. They were voluntary socialism until the insurance industry found they could get the politicians to require we buy their product. It started with auto insurance and they will try to force us to buy all their products if we allow it. The Medical insurance was just the next and most profitable opportunity for them.

We no longer buy the insurance, auto or medical, for ourselves and our family. We are buying it for others and “for the good of society” to supposedly prevent those who can not afford care from suffering. But just like the auto insurance as soon as it became mandatory the profits and prices vaulted to astronomical high numbers. The average auto repair is high as a kite and the medical insurance and care prices have followed that model.

As was pointed out on the Hannity radio program the other day, all medical procedures and treatments have increased in cost to the payor of the bills with the exception of breast augmentation surgery which is generally not covered by insurance has not increased in the last 10 years. Everything that is covered by insurance has increased exponentially. Big surprise? Not really. The Government and the insurances companies are in the hospital business not the people who need the care, they have partnered in this plan and will both profit at our expense with the force of law to obtain compliance. We need to bring back the old “Mutual Insurance” company with the policy holders as owners and excess profit returned to the owners. We need to buy back our hospitals and make agreements with our doctors that benefit them and ourselves not stock holders and Governments. We need the Church run hospitals to be allowed to thrive in their own right and all the help we as good citizens can give them but free of government interference.

I think it is obvious we can’t add a layer of government and a profit driven business to the medical industry and make it work at a price we can afford. Get those two out of the equation and go back to allowing the churches to do the charity for the poor and everyone will get medical care. We won’t make any of the big corporations rich in the process but what is the goal, making some big corporation rich or keeping people healthy at a reasonable price most can afford?
